What the liberals cannot seem to understand is that while 40 hour work weeks, health care, fair wages, are GOOD things, it doesn't mean that the GOVERNMENT needs to pay for them. Why do they think that whenever they come up with something worthwhile the taxpayers end up footing the bill?
Recently I had a coworker who was talking to me about calling my congressman, lest PBS go unfunded. I told her that I didn't watch TV, she said that it was for the "good of the children" who watch Sesame Street. I agreed that was a good show, but why should I pay for someone else' kid to watch it. She stared horrified.
